Hayward DE4820 Filter - Original, Durable and Effective

Hayward ProGrid DE4820 filters are one of the Hayward ProGrid D.E. filter models that set the standard for DE filters that other manufacturers followed.  The Hayward ProGrid filters come in a sturdy resin plastic tank and are available in different sizes to fit every residential pool size.   

Hayward DE4820 Filtration:

Hayward ProGrid DE Filter design has each of the DE grids connected to holes in the top manifold.  An additional hole in the top manifold connects to the outflow pipe of the filter tank.  The pump pushes water in to the filter tank containing D.E. material.  Once the tank fills, water is forced into each of the D.E. grids, the flow of water pushes the D.E. material completely over each filter grid as the water is forced thru the grids being cleaned along the way.  The clean water then travels thru the top manifold and and is pushed out the only exit from the filter tank, the outflow pipe, making it's way back to the pool.  The DE4820 has eight 24 inch tall grids providing 48 square feet of filter grid surface area that results in clean and sparkling water like only D.E. filtration can deliver.
