Hayward C100S SwimClear Single Element Filter Parts
The Hayward C100S SwimClear Single Element filter is one of Hayward's newest SwimClear filter series variations.
With 100 square feet of filter surface area, the single cartridge element Hayward C100S filter delivers on efficiency and convenience. A completely redesigned filter moves the water inlet up higher to capture more dirt on the filter surface area, ensuring superior water clarity. Ergonomic grip handles, a lid locking ring, as well as a recessed pressure gauge and manual air relief provide a smarter and more convenient design for ease of installation and maintenance.
Hayward C100S Filtration Design:
Superb filtration comes from a great new design where the cartridge bottom endcap sits snuggly on a cone shaped filter diffuser assembly which includes a large tube that runs up through the center of the filter. The filter lid also acts as a plug for the top end of the filter with it's plastic extrusion that fits in the endcap. This design is the heart of the filtration of the new single element SwimClear filter models. Water comes in from the side inflow pipe spreading the water more evenly over the filter cartridge 100 sq. ft. surface area. Hydraulic pressure in the filter tank then forces the water thru the filter cartridge and in to the filter diffuser assembly tube inside the filter cartridge forcing it down thru the outflow pipe at the bottom back in to the pool. A brilliant design optimizing hydraulic pressure and filtration inside the filter tank.
