•  Accurately measures the water pressure inside the filter, allowing pool owners to monitor the filter's condition and determine when cleaning or backwashing is needed.
• The gauge provides a visual display of the filter's internal water pressure in PSI (pounds per square inch)
• As the filter gets clogged with debris, the water pressure increases inside the filter. 
• Regular monitoring of the filter pressure is recommended so the appropriate filter maintenance can be performed as needed.  Pressure above the normal operating range indicates that it is time to clean your filter cartridges.  Likewise, for DE or sand filters, this indicates it is time to do a backwash.  After maintenance and restarting the pump, the filter pressure should be back in normal operating range.
