It's almost 2019, and here at ALL POOL FILTERS 4 LESS we pride ourselves on offering the widest selection of quality products to our customers at great prices.  We are excited to begin offering new and improved cartridge filters manufactured by PLEATCO.  PLEATCO used to have a bit of a bad reputation for making "average" filters.  However, new owners of the company have improved their products significantly.  One of the biggest changes is the fact that they have went away from the industry standard REEMAY fabric.  Their research team put a new focus on quality and have partnered with Johns Manville company to use their filtration fabric, which til now had been used primarily in pharmaceuticals and high-technology applications.  The use of this fabric allows for better water flow while providing excellent filtration.  Read more

I am also a pool owner, and I have tried PLEATCO filters.  I have to say, they are a good alternative.  There is a noticeable improvement in the water flow of the pool which translates to a nice crisp and clear look to your pool water.  The filtration ability is as good as any comparable filters.  I purchased both a Unicel filter and a Pleatco filter and alternated use of the two over a one year period.  As advertised, the Pleatco filter stacks up pretty closely to Unicel.  However, after about 9 months I did notice that the Pleatco filter wasn't holding up quite as well as the Unicel cartridge.  Please note this was just my own isolated comparison in my own pool, the fact that I have a dog that loves to swim in my pool frequently as well as a lot of greenery and landscaping around the pool may have also contributed to these results.

PLEATCO is trying to earn your business.  Many of their products are priced well below any original manufacturer filters as well as at or below UNICEL filter prices.  At this point, I would recommend that you give them a try.
