As of today, we have started carrying Pleatco replacement cartridge filters. Many of you may have used Pleatco cartridge filters a year ago or more with unpleasant memories. Well, the company was sold to new owners. The owners have upgraded their manufacturing processes and are stating that they are making great strides in producing quality cartridges. First of all, they have improved their filter bands to ensure they will not fall off. Second, they are following original manufacturer specifications when creating their filters. This is a big improvement in itself. If this is true, then they are going to be very comparable to Unicel. Lastly, they have improved their filter cartridge cores for stability yet allowing maximum water flow.
These changes to the manufacturing of their filters should make Pleatco filters a better product than they were prior to the new owners. I haven't yet used one of their filters in my own pool, but I plan on it this year.
