Jandy R0465400 Tank Bottom Assembly fits the following filter models:

• Jandy CV series filter models:  CV340, CV460, CV580

Pro Tip:

There are 4 main causes for Jandy CV filter tank bottom failures due to cracks or leaks that require filter tank replacement:

• Cause #1:  Pressure gets too high in the filter tank resulting in a stress crack in the tank
  • Solution:   Monitor filter pressure gauge.  Clean off filters thoroughly.  After cleaning, confirm pressure gauge shows less than 12 PSI, else replace filters
• Cause #2:  Filter tank location is exposed to all the elements:  sun, rain, cold, heat.
  • Solution:   Consider having some sort of "protective cover" installed to keep the filter unit out of direct exposure to the elements.
  •  Luckily, my pool equipment was installed next to the house and under my balcony.  25 years and never had an issue.
• Cause #3:   Fitting over-tightening can cause a crack on the tank at the fitting location. 
  •  Solution:  Pipe and drain fittings should only be hand tightened when installing/re-installing to filter tank.  Over-tightening using a wrench may cause a stress fracture on the fitting on the tank resulting in a leak.
• Cause #4:   Clamp Assembly mis-alignment and over-tightening can cause damage to the top edge of the tank.
  •   Solution:  When re-assembling the filter after maintenance be sure to properly align the tank lid, tank bottom, and clamp assembly before tightening down the clamp assembly.  Improper alignment coupled with tightening can damage the clamp, tank bottom, and/or tank lid.
